Mage Knight

mage knight board game

Mage Knight is a board game that can be played by 1 to 4 people, but the solitary experience is said to be particularly awesome. The game in many ways reminds of RPG – there are such attributes as battles with monsters, character developing,  exploring a fantasy world. The only difference is that in Mage Knight you use special tangible pieces instead of looking at the screen.

And there are so many playing pieces! 240 cards, 8 cool-looking miniatures, 196 tokens, map tiles, mana crystals, and dice. If it seems overwhelming, no need to worry – the game comes with two rules books where all the rules and subtleties are clearly explained.

If you are up for something really serious, this is a great choice. The game takes about 2 hours, so make sure you have the time. Who are you going to be – a leader or a dictator? Get the game and choose your strategy!

Urbion

urbion board game

Many people compare Onirim to Urbion and choose which one is better. We will leave those discussions out of this article and just give a quick overview of this great alternative to Onirim.

Two games are actually very different. The main similarity is that they are both created by Z-Man games. Urbion is about balancing dreams. You see, there are two decks of cards – Dream cards and Nightmare cards. You get to collect your city deck until the dream deck runs out.
